I love to run.
I feel like it's a drug and I can't wait to get my next fix.

Sprinting up hills makes my day ;)

I'd like to think I'm tough as nails, but don't we all?

Right now I'm on a marathon kick, I'm always looking for some kind of race. Recently I've gotten into triathlons, that's what I'll be chasing next.

Chrissie Wellington and Kara Goucher are my heroes <3

After a year of injuries in 2011 and finally recovering, I decided to take the leap and become a Personal Trainer. There's nothing more important to me than fitness and health. I would love nothing more than to achieve my goals and help others reach their maximum potential and achieve theirs as well.

My ultamite goal is to do an Ironman.

Marathon Thoughts

This is probably the FUNNIEST thing I’ve ever seen, a must watch for any runner.

SO TRUE! But this is why I tend to worsen my injuries. You gotta know when you shouldn’t keep running so you don’t screw yourself in the long run.
But besides an injury, there are no excuses!

I’m proud to look like a hot mess after a long run :)If you aren’t dripping in sweat maybe you didn’t run hard enough.

I think this is VERY important for people to remember. For me running is about beating my own times, screw what other people can run. I want to destroy my PR’s. The fact that you’re running at all is the important thing.

Ugh, this is starting to be a pain in the ass. I miss running so much, it feels like I’m going insane.

The Half-Marathon is in 6 weeks and I’ve gone running once the past 3 weeks.

I was planning on going for a run this morning, but when I woke up my hamstring was really hurting so I decided not to put it through more abuse =/ The sad thing is I don’t even know how I hurt my hamstring. All I know is I was on a 12 mile run and half was through I started feeling pain in it then all of a sudden it was SO tight, the pain got a million times sharper and worse, then all of a sudden I was on the ground and I could barely walk normal let alone run.

I’ve been taking a ton of vitamins, pain killers, been icing it, doing an IFC unit treatment, and elevating it, but I still feel like I’m not making an adequate amount of progress. It used to hurt to touch my toes and now I can do that pain free, which does show progress, but I still can’t run.

I was hoping to wean back into running this week.

Anyone have an idea to help me?
