I love to run.
I feel like it's a drug and I can't wait to get my next fix.
Sprinting up hills makes my day ;)
I'd like to think I'm tough as nails, but don't we all?
Right now I'm on a marathon kick, I'm always looking for some kind of race. Recently I've gotten into triathlons, that's what I'll be chasing next.
Chrissie Wellington and Kara Goucher are my heroes <3
After a year of injuries in 2011 and finally recovering, I decided to take the leap and become a Personal Trainer. There's nothing more important to me than fitness and health. I would love nothing more than to achieve my goals and help others reach their maximum potential and achieve theirs as well.
My ultamite goal is to do an Ironman.

I was planning on a long run to City Park today, I’ve literally been dreaming of doing so. No such luck.
Not even before a mile elapsed I had really sharp ankle pain. Yay! The joys of having screwed your ankle up, the pain doesn’t ever go away. I didn’t want to suffer an entire run and hurt it more so I improvised.
Mile 1: Pure run; 8:29, best mile since recovering from all my injuries. Not too bad, but I was close to getting a sub 7 last year before all of the fun. I’ll get there.
Mile 1-1.5: I found a hill and decided it would be fun to do hill sprints. Mind you, I LOVE sprinting up hills, I honestly just think it’s fun, but there was something different about this hill, I knew it the second I sprinted up it. This was freaking huge. Not distance wise, it was actually rather short, but incline.
Pretty much imagine this: /
That was the biggest incline I’ve ever run up, it was insane. I probably didn’t look like I was running too fast, but my god was I pumping as hard as I possibly could. My Garmin only recorded me running about .03 or .04 going down and up, so I’m sure you can imagine how many times I had to do run it to get to half a mile. This is where I almost puked!
Mile 1.5-2: I was tired of that and saw a stair case way off in the distance. It was only 24 steps. I ran up and down, when reaching the bottom ran a few feet to touch this pillar, then back up and down. 30 second rest, repeat. Did that for a half mile. It was really windy today but I was still pouring sweat somehow.
Mile 2-3: Last mile, I didn’t want to be out too long because of my ankle. Pure run. There’s a hill the size of one city block you have to get up, then it’s relatively flat. There was some weird dude staring at me as I ran closer to the hill, I decided to give him something to stare at and I sprinted as fast as I possibly could. To my amazement that’s the fastest I’ve ever run up that hill, my Garmin had me at 11.1 at that point. Uhm, BEYOND AWESOME! That’s a 5:23 pace.
I plan on doing some wall hand stands, some resistance band work, some push ups, and abdominal work a bit later today as well.
Didn’t run as far as I planned on, but I’d say it was still a damn good day!
